Martin has spent many years working in Manchester and Liverpool for Cobbetts and DWF. Before co-founding SDM Legal, Martin headed up the Commercial Litigation team at a local Lancaster firm. Martin has significant experience in professional negligence claims against solicitors, accountants and insurers, as well as contractual disputes, shareholder disputes and contentious probate. Martin is recommended within the Legal 500.

Recent highlights include, a positive settlement of a substantial claim against a financial institution, a positive settlement of a shareholders dispute resulting in a substantial payment to our client, obtaining a Judgment in excess of £200,000 for a commercial client and the successful eviction of an agricultural tenant.

Martin was appointed a deputy District Judge of the Northern Circuit in May 2020.
